The Saga Continues
The past weeks have been so full of unexpected twists preventing me from updating my blog. I could write about these twists but I prefer not to dwell in these.
At any rate, my dad is out of the hospital. His left eye is still frozen. Medicines will forever be taken for his Diabetes and hypertension. Follow up consultation with the doctors will continue, and therapy should be underway.
I am now further spreading myself, too thinly confidantes and I think, to cover all financial bases to regularly finance my parents, to send my siblings to college, to sustain my personal upkeep, and to save money for emergency. The feeling of being so exhausted to finance everything and everyone has almost gotten on the verge of my nerves, barely keeping me sane.
Quite honestly, I am considering working abroad to increase my financial sturdiness. Job offers here in the country do no good anymore. Tax is hefty with a minimum 30% tax slash on every pay I get. My business has to pay tax too every quarter, besides the monthly tax i have to remit. Plus the Mayor’s tax. Plus the Barangay Tax. At the end of the day I only work and do business for the government–without getting any in return.
Well, the long silence I had on my blogsite did not mean respite from the madness of life in the Philippines. My saga on life’s pleasure and curse continues.
